Nice & Monaco
Nice on the Cote d’azur with its stunning coastline, palm trees and sunshine. Visit the pebbly beach, the old town with a maze of charming streets, the beautiful
open square of the Place Massena, cultural attractions such as MAMAC and fabulous shops and restaurants. Take a train along the coast to Monaco to see how the other half live, enjoy a cocktail & a spin of the roulette wheel at the Monte Carlo Casino and look out for those cars & boats.

Day 1 - Friday - 22nd
Arrived at Rue Francois Premiere about 9pm after meeting Jane. Left apartment about 9.30pm and had dinner in la Brasserie Du Mirador (Veal and a bottle of Saint Tropez) Home about 11.30pm.
Day 2 - Saturday - 23rd
Up about 10am, espresso in Caffe Vergnano 1882 about midday. 1pm - Pizza in La Tapende. Walked to the Nice Modern Art Museum in the rain. In th museum till 4pm then Sud for beer (still raining). 5pm - Wayne's Bar for a Desperado. 5.30pm - Drink in Liber'tea and back to apartment about 6.30pm. 9pm - Afgan Restaurant for dinner then Caparihna in Da Flavio's about 11.15pm then home.
Day 3 - Sunday - 24th
Walk through the fruit Market about noon, lunch in L'oree du Port around 1pm. A walk round the harbour. 3pm - Hotel Perouse terrace for a Kronenburg before walk up the hill to see the waterfall. 5pm - Stopped at Caffe Dell Arte for ice cream and crepe. Portovenere for dinner at 9pm then back home, bottle of wine then bed (with sunburn)
Day 4 - Monday - 25th
Morning in Bed and out the apartment about 1pm. Stopped for lunch at Raffaello about 1.30pm. Walked along the front to Hotel Negresco for cocktails then a walk through the market and postcard writing and beer in La Plassa around 5pm. Beer at Les Distilleries Idéales followed by drinks at Cafe Estaban. Dinner at La Tire Bouchon then drinks at L'abatjour... (bit drunk that night!)
Day 5 - Tuesday 26th
12 noon, walked round to Le Maori for espresso before train trip. Nice Train station for trip to Monaco. Checked into Ni Hotel in Monaco around 2pm. Walk round harbour and lunch at Mokalito at 3pm. Walked round to Casino Square then cocktails in the Fairmont then walk back to Ni Hotel about 7pm. All dressed up, walk up to Monte Carlo Casino for cocktail and passport check in, people watching then 50 euros on roulette and blown in about 7 minutes... but great fun!
Walked down to Le Botticelli for dinner at 10.30 then home.
Day 6 - Wednesday 27th
Checked out of Ni Hotel about 10.30, espresso at Pizza Pino the walk round to Fontvieille and round to see the Hotel Columbus. Lunch at Le Michelangelo at 1pm then walked round to Auto museum then drinks at the Racing Room around 4pm. Collected bags from Ni Hotel then train back to Nice around 5.15pm.
Back in Nice - drinks in o'staff around 6.30pm. Back to Apartment then dinner in Frog and drinks in Les Ponchettes around 11.30pm.
Day 7 - Thursday 28th
Slept in, Look round Galerie Lafayette then Moules et frittes at le Festival de la Moule at 1.30pm. Walked along the front, a look in the vintage shop then cake and coffee at Chez Maitre Pierre at 4.30pm. Wine in Cafe Bloom wine bar at 5.30, drinks in Zap then home. Dinner at Le Cosy till 10.30pm then Tequila Sunrise at Le Mori's till 11pm.
Day 8 - Friday 29th
Up early, packed and coffee on the front at L'eden at 10.45am. Walked round to the port for lunch and drinks at Nicea Cafe.Walked back round to the Old Town, bit of shopping and coffee then glass of wine in Bloom. Siobhan buys a dress in Galerie Lafayette then drinks in Liber'tea. Picked up bags from the Apartment. Drinks in Hotel across the road then taxi to the airport.
